What's it like working for the Aran Vet Clinic?
At the Aran Vet Clinic our aim is to offer our clients personalised small animal veterinary care of the highest quality and we pride ourselves on our compassionate, client-focussed approach. Our practice is located in modern, well-equipped premises on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales - a location that offers some of the very best outdoor recreation in the UK while also having excellent travel links to London, Liverpool, Manchester and Ireland. We have a fantastic, supportive team and we run a continuous improvement programme which enables every team member to contribute to the way the practice runs. This is what recent visiting specialists have to say about working at the Aran Vet Clinic:
"As a visiting soft tissue surgery specialist to the Aran Vet Clinic, I am fortunate to work in such lovely surroundings with friendly and enthusiastic staff. The clinic has lots of natural light streaming through, a central hub of a prep room, with easy visualisation of the patients at all times. From a surgical point of view, I enjoy operating in the theatre suite which has good surgical lighting, anaesthesia monitoring equipment and nurses that are confident in monitoring patients that are often undergoing involved and quite complex procedures. As an added bonus, if I get time on completion of my visit to the clinic, my dog 'Ladybird' and I get to enjoy a walk on beautiful Anglesey before we head home."

"Aran Vet Clinic is a great surgery for me to visit. The facilities are excellent - well maintained and well equipped with standards that I hope for when identifying practices suited to my sort of surgical work.
It is a great team to work with - enthusiastic and keen. They all appear keen to investigate their cases thoroughly and explore options for treatment to ensure their clients and their patients are well looked after. I really enjoy my visits to Anglesey where the clients I have met have all been really nice and it is lovely surgery in a lovely part of the world."
The section below is all about Anglesey and the nearby Snowdonia National Park. Click on the photographs for more information!
Anglesey has 125 miles of beautiful coastline which you can explore from the long-distance coastal path, almost all designated an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Here you will find fantastic sandy beaches, rocky beaches and some of the highest sea cliffs in Wales where you can enjoy kite surfing, rock climbing, coasteering, surfing, bird-watching, fishing, scuba diving, or perhaps just building sandcastles and collecting shells. You can visit the beautiful unspoilt coves of Llanddwyn Island, named after Dwynwen the patron saint of Welsh lovers, or try sailing and other watersports at the nearby national watersports centre - Plas Menai. Anglesey is also a great place for cycling with two of the UK's nine cycle routes on the island.
If you'd prefer something gentler, then there are some fantastic historic sites to visit, including the majestic castles at Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris, as well as picturesque towns and villages.
If mountains are your passion, the Snowdonia National Park provides 823 square miles of mountains, lakes and rivers, including Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) the highest peak in England and Wales. This rugged part of Wales offers spectacular hill walking, rock climbing, mountain biking and kayaking.
